While I’ve always heard that bermuda grass is a host plant for some skippers, I’ve never seen them lay eggs on it – until today. Below is a picture of an egg which was laid before my eyes as I was working in the yard.

Skippers and Bermuda Grass
Already, I’m getting at least 10 skippers a day in my garden. I fairly sure most of them use my Bermuda grass as a host plant. It’s a bit invasive, but Roundup will keep it in place.
