Testing PH-Acidity in the Soil

I decided to test the PH (acidity/alkalinity) of my gardens soil. Since I have many gardens all spread out, I took ten different samples from different areas.

I bought an inexpensive PH tester and followed the instructions. I found it a bit hard to believe that all the readings were in the 6.7 to 7.0 range, but that’s what all the tests read. Since that is a perfect range for most plants, it appears that I don’t need to do anything to adjust the soil PH.
