Lantana – Overwintering

Normally I would never even think that lantana might over-winter in St. Louis, but my next door neighbor had three of her four plants come back. She was growing the “Chapel Hill Gold variety from Home Depot. One tip I found was that lantana likes good drainage and ” as with all hardy lantanas, don’t cut the old stalks back until growth resumes in spring.” Lantana camara “Miss Huff” is one of the cold hardy parents of Chapel Hill Gold.
